Cultural Exchange
Cultural Exchange is an opportunity for the international teachers in the International Teacher Program to share their stories, their educational experiences, while also sharing parts of their culture and ethnicity. We are excited to showcase them, and to learn and grow with them in this global community!
Meet the teachers, learn to Salsa, and visit the “Around the World” tables, which will include artifacts, Jamaican pudding, Asian snacks, Calligraphy, Caribbean coast of Colombia sweets and more!

As a passionate educator, I serve as the Chinese teacher at Northwestern High School, catering
to students across all three high schools in Rock Hill. With the rich experience of teaching
Chinese language and culture, I cover courses ranging from level one to AP course. My
educational journey began in China at Chongqing Normal University, where I earned my
bachelor’;s degree in teaching English as a second language. Later, I expanded my horizons by
obtaining a master’s degree in leadership of Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb
University, NC. Before bringing my expertise to Rock Hill, where I've been for eight years, I
spent a decade teaching English in China and a year teaching Chinese in North Carolina.
Outside the classroom, I cherish moments with my incredible husband and our vivacious five-
year-old daughter. Our family adores traveling, relishing beach trips, and exploring diverse
cuisines. I wholeheartedly believe that embracing different cultures broadens our perspectives
and enriches our lives.
