As we navigate daily through the world news to engage our citizens in cultural diversity and world affairs, we come across a women's and human rights revolution that is brewing in Iran. It is important to gain a better understanding of the genesis of the movement in such a sensitive area of the world.
For almost 44 years, the Islamic Republic regime of Iran has committed systemic oppression, suppression, execution, dictatorship, flagrant violations of women’s rights and human rights, brought instability in the Middle East and has had a lack of national economic growth, job security, adequate healthcare, and social programs. This regime has never represented the people of Iran and their interests.
The nation of Iran is ablaze because of the fearless and daring protests that are contributing heavily to a new revolution in Iran. The young men and women are standing up to one of the most anti-democratic governments in the world. We hope to present a program that would be educational and informative to the community on this issue.
